On June 26, the Vinoy Renaissance Resort & Golf Club will observe the third annual Global Day of Discovery by hosting two craft brew-inspired events in St. Petersburg.
The Brews of the Burg tour, which begins at noon, will take adventurers on a four-hour excursion to 3 Daughters Brewing, St. Pete Brewing Company and Cycle Brewing. Along the way, patrons will be able to take part in social media-powered scavenger hunts for Vinoy prizes, as well as sample and drink complimentary suds at each stop.
The first tour departs at noon from the hotel, the second at 12:20 p.m. and the last at 12:40.
Hosted in the hotel's Marchand's Bar & Grill at 6, the Brew Bash will showcase tastings of local craft beer and ale-inspired pairings by Vinoy executive chef Mark Heimann. Patrons will have the opportunity to show off their turntable talents with Scratch DJ Academy throughout the evening.
The Vinoy is set to unveil its new beer, created in collaboration with 3 Daughters, at 7, too. The brew will only be offered at the hotel.
Tickets for the brewery tours are $20, and the Brew Bash is free to attend. Patrons need to reserve their free admission to the Brew Bash through the Vinoy's Eventbrite page since space is limited.
Renaissance Hotels' 155 locations participate in Global Day of Discovery. Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel is serving complimentary Buddy Brew coffee, holding a painting class and more.
Editor's note: An earlier version of this story said the Brew Bash was sold out as per the event's Eventbrite page. On June 18, a PR representative for the Vinoy said there was some confusion on the website, and that the Brew Bash is free and not sold out.
