St. Pete's Social on Fourth Street closes

Posted By on Mon, Jan 6, 2014 at 2:43 PM

The Socials Johnny Ciani.

So long and thanks for all the flatbreads and Moscow Mules.

St. Petersburg's Social at 5226 Fourth St., (formerly World of Beer) has closed, effectively immediately.

The Social opened a little over a year ago, after World of Beer (the first one in St. Petersburg) closed. The bar and restaurant offered craft cocktails and beer, plus locally-centric plates and flatbreads. During CL's most recent Best of the Bay awards, the Social won for "Best upscale fare in a down-home bar."

Details on the closure and what's to come for those involved are still ongoing. Stay tuned to Potlikker for more on the developments to come on both sides of the bay.
