✔️ Sunny Sweeney w/Mickey Lamantia/The Hummingbirds You know, we left a blurb about Dierks Bentley off the page so we could tell you about this real country show headlined by 41-year-old Houston Texas songwriter Sunny Sweeney, who arrives supporting Trophy, her new album of uncharacteristically lovey-dovey songs. “I got married to the second person, which should’ve been the first person as it turns out,” she recently told Billboard, “and he’s great.” Sweeney is pretty damn great, too, and if you don’t believe us then ask anyone who saw her come up in Texas’ Red Dirt scene on the way to being one of the most buzzed-about names in Americana. Pan Classics w/Randy Constan We suppose he never really went anywhere, but it’s cool to see Randy Constan (aka Tampa’s own Peter Pan) playing music out and about. This isn’t the act that earned Constan late-night television slots and national notoriety, but it does find the Bay area legend playing the music of his youth (Beatles, Allman Brothers, Clapton, Pink Floyd, etc.) with a one-man set-up rife with an array of loop and effect pedals. Nick Cannon w/T.I./Rip Michaels/Justina Valentine/Hitman Holla/Conceited/Iamzoie?Charlie Clips/DC Young Fly/Emmanuel Hudson/Chico Bean/DJ D-Wrek If you're still on the fence about checking out Nick Cannon's Wild 'Out Live show at Amalie Arena this weekend, then promoters have given you two more options to take the bait and buy a ticket for the live hip-hop and comedy show. Georgia rapper T.I. ("Whatever You Like") was added to the show this morning, and now the venue has announced that Port St. Lucie's own Ace Hood has been added to the bill, too. ✔️ Ritual Talk w/Mountain Holler/Jun Ritual Talk still has more than a month left on its tour of the U.S., and while the New York-based outfit bills itself as psychedelic indie-rock, the band’s latest single, “More Than I Can Mention,” is more like a modern take on old-timey, half-time blues where slinky guitar lines have been updated with big, bursting-at-the-seams harmonies and space-age synth flourishes. St. Petersburg folk singers Mountain Holler and Jun open the show at this St. Petersburg warehouse that is vital to the Bay area’s live music scene. (Paper Crane, St. Petersburg) INFO
