I can't really review this as I haven't seen it yet. however, the time is wrong - it's 8pm not 5pm on the 5th. Ticket prices start @ $25, not $10, but wait, you forgot to add all the FEES:
Fee - $3.50, Surcharge 1: $2.00, Surcharge 2: $4.00, Ticket parking Fee $3.74, Parking Tax $0.26, Order Processing Fee, $3.00.... so let's see, for 2 nosebleed tickets, that comes to $70.00... not $20.00.... sheesh, WTF?

I would have to agree with the later on the bang for your buck from this four bill show... Great performances by all four bands... The Hodaddys did rock the surf as they always bring it. The Taints were in rare form ... Love the stage antics & The guitarist/ singer really knows the roots... Waited around quite awhile for Laramie Dean as they were late & hurried to get set up... Of course Dick was loud as usual even blowing out an amp in the first song but he still kills it at his age... All in all a fun time for everybody... SHOW ; 4 STARS / VENUE ; 2 STARS

My take on the show last night:
-Marathon concert w/ 4 bands for $20, awesome value
- Hodaddys took the stage at 8:00 hour after doors opened; Purest surf band around, solid performance
-The Taints played next; best described as speed rockabilly-great band, but vocals were hard to hear. Nice cover of That's All Right
-Laramie Dean up next; Likalble, talented guy; pretty tight band; a lot of feedback at end of set
-Finally after 4 hours, Dick Dale played; susprisingly only played a few surf tunes; Did a fair amount of singing, including covers of House of the Rising Sun and Louie Louie
-He looked healthy despite recent health problems; performance was worth the wait, but deafeningly loud
-First time at State Theater; small venue with little seating; leaning aginst a metal railing to watch the show for 5+ hours not very comfortable
-Overall; Show 4 stars, venue 2 stars

I saw this show last Saturday. It was a very good show and I really enjoyed it. It is a shame that more people weren't there. GET OUT AND SUPPORT THE ARTS PEOPLE!

A great double-bill! Two neo/retro lounge acts extraordinaire – The Vodkanauts and Stolen Idols – appear together for one night only. Stolen Idols open the show with their potent cocktail of beatnik bongo jazz, Latin jazz and exotica. They are one of only a small number of ensembles in the world currently presenting exotica authentically with acoustic instruments and a Latin jazz sensibility. The Vodkanauts offer a Power Lounge show where, in an alternate world, Dean Martin and Neil Diamond share equal billing with Danny Gatton and Hank Marvin, where reverb-drenched surf freakouts segue into a small jazzy combo playing a Vegas nightspot.
