Re: “Music: New Granada Xmas Night Extravaganza

plus, Creative Loafer and Blast and The Detergents bass player Gabe Loewenberg will be providing low end for King Of Spain at this show. besides this shameless plug, the new world christmas night show is not to be missed. come out and have a beer (or two or three...) with friends after you're done putting up with your loving family for the day.

Re: “Art: New Editions

For those of you interested in redecorating your homes with something other than "Art Mart", this looks to be a very interesting collection of artists. Erika has proven herself- internationally- as a master of print making. If you can't make it to the opening, do yourself a favor: forget about the stock market for ninety minutes and focus on something that will bring immediate- and long term- visual pleasure and satisfaction. Thank you, Ms. Voeller for your blog.

Re: “Special Events: The Connext Project

I attended the Connext Project this past Saturday and was really impressed. The music was amazing and it was definitely a unique experience being surrounded by film and animation on huge outdoor screens. We had a blast and I hope it happens again next year!

Re: “Politics: 2008 Presidential Election

Give us a good candidate and maybe it would be easy to get our ass out on your lunch break....You have one man or as some call him (That Guy) who has not got a clue unless his TelePrompTer tells him.... who the hell does he think he is... He is young looks good plays well with others only thing he is lacking is a back bone to stand up to others...all his well written speeches very nice but …..Birds of a feather do flock …and the old guy is just a nut ….

Re: “Art: First Saturday Art Walk

Hello,
It's a wonderful energy and ambition that we see in an event such as the Ybor Art Walk. I have met Mr. Cooper and he is a brilliant and compassionate man with a true love for the arts and the artists. I am hopeful to see him again this Saturday while participating in this event.

Best Regards,

Re: “Art: The Human Condition

Once again, Lori Johns has made us ponder & reflect upon our existence while we enjoy another spectacular art exhibit at C. Emerson Fine Arts. She continuously pushes the local art scene forward, helping to keep St. Petersburg alive and kicking in the eyes of the art world. And I'm certainly honored to have her as our guest curator at NOVA 535, as she's producing several incredible shows for us! Thanks Lori for all of your hard work! And please thank her yourself by supporting the local art scene - come see her fabulous art exhibitions! ;--D

Re: “Film: Summer Classic Movie Series

Great movie - it ran in theatres for months. Caption is a bit off: the actress is Clara Bow - not Claire. Clara was the "IT" Girl, the absolute biggest star in film in the 20's, the original "hottie". In WIngs she gets caught topless with a passed out soldier in a Paris hotel room by 2 MP's - showing us a very quick flash! Cutting -edge risque for 1927, for sure.

Re: “Art: Film Lingual II and Coming Into Focus

A fabulous combination of art exhibits by the talented Lori Johns; first for herself at C. Emerson Fine Arts and secondly for us here at NOVA 535. She was able to pull off these two shows simultaneously with rave reviews from the local scene and from the numerous visitors we had from around the globe. We are excited to see her next unveilings, especially "The Edge of Invisible" here at NOVA 535. I feel like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas morning. Please join us at NOVA 535 for our opening on September 11th at 7pm and please help support the local art scene by investing in art.
