It is also surprising and dismaying to see that we have no gay political organization serving either Tampa/Hillsborough, or Pinellas County.
I was very surprised on moving here to see no real grassroots membership-based organizations advocating on behalf of the community's interests. People in Hillsborough especially seem to like just lying down and allowing themselves to be run over by the homo-hatred juggernaut that has existed since the days of Rhonda.
Witness no rising up over the wholly unsuitable Kemple appointment to a "diversity council," which is like giving the KKK a seat on a commission on race relations, or a wife beater a spot on a status of women committee. Why is there no annual gay pride celebration in Hillsborough? Why do people here have so little interest in organizing and networking, whether for professional, political, or cultural purposes?
These things are ultimately ways of public service to the whole community. Where are the gay folks?

The auditions are apparently a scam to drive paid membership in some theater association that's been created. Legit auditions never require you to pay anything.

This show is like nothing I've ever seen! It's a little bit of theater, humor, and real taleneted performers doing amazing things I've never seen! What's more is that some of these performers have worked for Circque du Soleil! I mean it's worth the $25 because I never see stuff like this in the TAMPA BAY area. It's a must!

Energy may be "cleaner" but it is far from clean. I have been in Louisiana for almost a year now and what big oil has done to this state is deplorable. I am from Florida and would really hate to see such natural beauty destroyed by greed.
