Where were you sitting? Your review is a bit negative sounding to say the least.
We were sitting front and center and if anything at times the vocals were buried under the music.
Based on the huge age range with half well into their 50s, i dont blame people for wanting to take a seat at times. A lot of older folks bodies arent what they used to be.
I am only 42 and am normally very unanimated during any concert- something that I notice a lot of other musicians do. We get too into the music in our heads.
Anyway, I digress.
If Their new song 'while we we're young' is a taste of what their next album has in store I think it is going to be fantastic. Has hit (albeit adult contemporary catagory now) written all over it.
When people all around me weren't enthusiastically clapping hands and tapping feet when sitting, they were standing. Including during all the old covers near the end of the main set.
All in all it was a great concert in a great hall.
Love that album. It still sounds great and according to this outstanding review, Huey also still sounds good. Good job!
Excellent review, sorry I missed the concert.
I was fortunate to see Bonnie Raitt. Her stage presence was heart warming and her music was actually better than studio recordings. What an amazing woman! She seems to have ageless energy and Genuine affection for her fans is refreshing. The best performer I've ever witnessed.
loved it! Well worth the $$.
Coastline was also held in West Palm Beach, on the following day (Sun., Nov. 10).
what the other indie music festival in Florida you are referring to?
