What's up with all the Louisiana food making its way down to the Bay area lately? Hey, we're not complaining. St. Pete's hip foodie spot Locale brought an upscale, heavily locally sourced angle on the tradition to Sundial's vast and stylish courtyard last year, and it went so well they've decided to bring it back. On Saturday, Jan. 20, fans of southern family-style seafood cookin' out can get their fill of a bevy of bold flavors, from the classic shrimp and crawfish to clams, (not-so-local but oh-so-tasty) Prince Edward Island mussels and house-made alligator andouille sausage, as well as the traditional corn and new potatoes — with the option to wash it all down with a very local 3 Daughters Beach Blonde Ale.
The grubfest runs from 5-8 p.m.; advance tickets are available here for $14.99, a price that goes up to $16.99 the day of the feast, but luckily not until an hour before it kicks off. This promises to be a popular — and for some Floridians, new and unique — experience, though, so waiting until the last minute probably isn't the greatest idea.
