CL's seventh annual Holiday Auction to the benefit The Children’s Home — which provides children that are victims of abuse, neglect and abandonment with a safe, permanent home — is currently underway. We've already raised more than 100k in previous auctions and are hoping to substantially add to that number in 2015.

Two 2-Day VIP Passes to Gasparilla Music Festival
Last year’s two-day Gasparilla Music Festival lineup featured Seattle indie alt rock kingpins Modest Mouse in the Saturday night headlining slot, and not only did VIP tickets sell out well in advance, but general admission passes were nowhere to be found in the week leading up to the fest and early bird VIP Passes to the forthcoming 2016 edition are already gone, too. This package includes a pair of VIP passes to GMF, which entitles the winner to premium viewing at both the main Curtis Hixon and Kiley Garden stages, access to VIP tents with private bars, lounge areas and restrooms, and three complimentary drinks plus snacks and other goodies each day. Historically one of the most hotly bit-upon items, the Vinyl Shopping Spree entitles you to a day of crate-diving with CL Music Editor Leilani Polk (that would me), who accompanies you to five of the Bay area’s finest indie music shops – Microgroove and Mojo Books & Records in Tampa, Daddy Kool, Bananas, and Planet Retro in St. Petersburg – and helps you pick out a few LPs from each for a grand total of 10 records. Daddy Kool also throws in a Discwasher vinyl record care system. (Note: Excludes box sets, imports and/or limited/special releases; dollar limit set at certain stores.). Value: $270. Music Lessons from SPC MIRA Faculty
Have you always wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument but not sure which one will suit you best? Or you know someone who might want some (or is in need of) lessons? This includes three lessons total; each lesson consists of a one-hour session in songwriting, vocals, bass, guitar, saxophone, piano/keys, drums or percussion, to be taught by a faculty member of the Music Industry/Recording Arts (MIRA) program at St. Petersburg College, and based on his or her availability. Safety Harbor Songfest Experience
