Tonight in live music: Snoozer with Lady Bones, Michelle Branch

A few shows happening this first night in June.

A few shows worth mentioning this Mon., June 1. Check 'em out below.

Snoozer with Lady Bones This bill sounds like a lethargic one, solely based on the names of the two bands leading the fray. Philly three-piece Snoozer makes music that’ll make you rock out, not nod out – prog-psychedelic, propulsive and loud with plenty of guitar fuzz, low-end stomp and wildly crowed and shrieked vocals, while another trio, Boston-area Lady Bones (I see Lazy Bones every single time I read it), is dissonant but also fast-moving and displays unexpected technicality and melodic guitar amid the grungy, jagged rock drive. (New World Brewery, Ybor City)

Tampa Bay Acoustic Music Festival: Michelle Branch The month-long Hard Rock event spotlights veteran acoustic-powered artists alongside rising talent will be held Thursdays through Sundays until the end of June, though the kick-off party happens this Monday with Arizona pop-rock songstress Michelle Branch, who brings a stable of early ‘00s hits (“All You Wanted,” “Breathe,” “Are You Happy Now?”). (Hard Rock Café, Tampa)
