The femme-led Glasgow two-piece issues their eponymous debut, which draws on the sounds of swirly shoegaeze, retro-sounding garage and hazy pop that Pitchfork has described as "Best Coast by way of Swervedriver." "It's about an alien cutting up Earth with a giant pair of scissors and putting it back together," Landlady's Adam Schatz said about his band's first single "The Globe" in Austin last month. Schatz has played with Father Figures and Man Man; this is art rock project was formed about three years ago. Listen to it below.

Indie-folk duo Luluc (Zoë Randell and Steve Hassett) has been getting waves of great press for their new full-length, apparently impeccably produced by The National's Aaron Dessner.
