St. Pete Shuffle robbed of vintage game relics

- These items were taken from the club sometime late Friday night on January 4.
"We don't know exactly when but it was late Friday night," said club manager Christine Page on Wednesday afternoon. "I ran through the club early Saturday morning and noticed one of the large postcard prints was gone but it didn't occur to me that it was stolen."
But during the club's board meeting this week, it didn't take long to notice that the prints along with several vintage shuffleboard trophies and a scoreboard had gone missing.

Before Tampa was invaded by the Imperial National Convention, Orlando, was taken over by Star Wars Celebration VI. The 7 million square-foot Orange County Convention Center was filled with shopping, trading, screenings, cosplayers, educational panels, laser tag, speed dating and Legos ... everything a fan could want, with the added bonus of lots of chicks in gold bikinis.

Local St. Pete game developers hit on the (mono) cellular level
A local game developer is using Kickstarter to crowd-source their latest mobile game.

Amoeba, produced by Solvent Studios is that game and it seems they've started a Kickstarter campaign to get the necessary funding.

SXSW - 3/18/12 - Day Ten
Goodbye, Austin. I’ve come to appreciate this strange relationship we have. We see each other once a year - the best and worst sides. No questions asked. And then we do it all over again. There’s a name for this. What is it?
I’ve shipped my souvenirs (and records) home, packed my suitcase full of crap from the conference and tradeshow. Thanks to Katie and Karl for letting me crash with them. Thanks to Chris for hanging out with me, even though I always have my own agenda and am checking my phone every other second. That’s what friends are for, I guess. Thanks to Kelley for taking some amazing photos (even some challenging group shots). Thanks to all the SXSW staff and the new friends I met this year, you’ll all be getting an e-mail from me soon.
I need antibiotics. I need a detox. I need to sleep for two days straight. There’s a name for this. What is it?
