What was your initial reaction to being asked to be on something called ‘The Lust List?’
Alex: Hysterical laughter.
What do you like doing besides making and playing music?
Alex: When I’m not working or playing with Auto!Automatic!!, I’m playing with Poetry n’ Lotion or the Apes.
Brian: What Alex is trying to say is that he has no secondary hobbies.
What’s the best part about being a musician?
Alex: Making music, listening to completed albums we’ve released, pulling a record and seeing our names on it, showing off the fresh pressed record to dad. I never built a house or anything, but I made a record.

Adam: The best part is that there are very few things you can learn to do in life where you can enjoy yourself and other people enjoy it, too.
Who gets hit on the most after shows – or, who’s usually surrounded by ladies?
Your favorite artist to put on to set a romantic mood?
Alex: Now Your Pregnant, that album ‘Sorry’ is a good one.
Brian: Nine Inch Nails.
Adam: Portishead, Al Green.
Any A!A!! songs inspired by love, lust, or an object of desire? Which one?

Where did you meet your last boyfriend/girlfriend? Or, in Adam’s case, your current one?
Alex: College. I’ve been out of the game for a while. Girls just might be crazy
Brian: A bar.
Adam: I met my current girlfriend at the Gasparilla parade. We both decided we didn’t like it, and became friends walking around in the heat drinking and making fun of it.
Excluding rent or bills, where does most of your disposable income go?
Alex: Records, camera gear. I do a lot of photography.
Adam: What disposable income? [laughs] Tools. Anything I need for current woodworking projects. Food.
What was your first concert?
Alex: Magadog, which is cool because I play with The Apes now.
Alex: Nine Inch Nails, 7th grade.
Adam: 9th grade, I said I was sleeping at a friend’s house, then snuck out with my older friend and saw Flaming Lips at the Metro.
What about the best concert you’ve seen in the past year?
Alex: Queens of the Stone Age.

Favorite film you’ve seen recently?
Where’s one place you’ve always wanted to travel to, and why?
Alex: Seffner, because of the ladies.
Adam: Vancouver, ‘cause I’ve only ever seem pictures of it, or Oregon, or pretty much anywhere in the Northwest. I’ve never been west of Dallas, I’d love to see the big ass trees in California .
What is the stupidest pick-up line you’ve heard or given?
Alex: In college, I walked up to a girl, and said, “Hey, I think I’ve seen you around, do you go to school here?” We were on campus.
What’s one thing about you that may come as a surprise to people who don’t know you very well?
Brian: I have a pretty ridiculous collection of Simpsons vinyl (Kid Robot) toys.
Adam: I’ve watched every episode of Treehouse Masters
What’s the one thing you most hope to accomplish this year?
Alex: Writing some new music, getting some new kicks.
Brian: Focusing on writing new material, then booking shows.
Adam: The best way to gently break the news that I don’t want to play in Auto!Automatic!! anymore. [Laughs] But for real – successfully open my new South of Gandy doggie daycare, Puppy Manor, this month.
Alex: I’m an eyes and smile kind of guy.
Brian: Tattoos and glasses.
