-The Defense of Marriage Act was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, opening the door for states to recognize same-sex marriage.

-Anthony Weiner's mayoral campaign was sunk with the emergence of another alleged mistress, Sydney Leathers, who went on to make a sex tape, then auctioned off the skin from her labiaplasty.

-Russian president, Vladimir Putin, made it a crime to provide minors with LGBT information.

-New York police can no longer use condoms as evidence against alleged prostitutes.

POP CULTURE:

-Miley Cyrus shed her teen image by appearing naked in the music video for "Wrecking Ball" and twerking with Robin Thicke during the MTV VMA performance of "Blurred Lines."

-Showtime’s Masters of Sex glamorized the relationship and research of pioneering sexologists, Masters and Johnson.

-Mad Men's producers told Jon Hamm to start wearing underwear on set, as the outline of his large penis was distracting viewers.

-Lady Gaga appeared naked in a bizarre internet clip promoting "The Abramovic Method."

-After Kim Kardashian appeared naked on Kanye West's terrible music video, "Bound 2," James Franco and Seth Rogen parodied the video frame for frame.

-Thanks for Sharing turned sex addiction into a romantic comedy.

-Amanda Seyfried stripped down to play porn starlet, Linda Lovelace.

-Blue Is the Warmest Color, based on a book by graphic novelist, Julie Maroh, featured a 10 minute, lesbian sex scene.

-Aging supermodels Cindy Crawford, Helen Christensen, and Christy Turlington all jumped back into the spotlight, baring some skin for new ads.

-Lindsay Lohan flaunted her naked body and what remains of her fame with porn star James Deen, in the independent film, The Canyons.

-Matt Damon stripped down to play Liberace's lover in, Behind the Candelabra.

-At 44, Jennifer Aniston delivered an impressive, though non-nude, strip tease in We're the Millers.

PORN

-Famed porn star, Jenna Jameson, came out of retirement.

-Farrah Abraham made a sex tape featuring porn star, James Deen, titled, Farrah Superstar: Backdoor Teen Mom.

-Three HIV outbreaks shut down the porn industry briefly, though it's unclear if any infections occurred on set.

-LA passed a law requiring condoms on pornos filmed in LA.

-California passed a law against revenge porn.

-The first annual Feminist Porn Conference was held.

-Tila Tequila had another sex tape leaked, this time featuring her with a male partner.

TECH

-Porn stars Andy San Dimas and James Deen made the first porn with Google Glass.

-Tinder became the first mainstream location-based, hookup/dating app for heterosexuals.

-Mobile paternity testing facilities in New York started delivering results to patrons in three to five days.

-Origami condoms provided a quicker way for users to protect themselves.

-Liquid Lapdance invented lubricated underwear for enhanced lap dances.

-More and more vibrating sex toys can be controlled by smart phones.

SOCIAL

-Cuddle therapy offices opened in several cities.

-Orgasmic Meditation led by OneTaste Founder, Nicole Daedone, started to become a thing.
