We're now just nine days away from the August 27 primary election in St. Petersburg where we will finally learn if the Lens design for a reconfigured Pier will go into effect or not.

In this week's CL we've attempted to put the whole issue into perspective, but wouldn't it be good to hear directly from some of the strongest voices in this contentious discussion?

On Friday afternoon Franco Ripple with CBS Radio's The Current hosted an hour-long debate with Bud Risser and Bill Ballard with Concerned Citizens of St. Petersburg (and the driving forces behind the Stop The Lens movement) and local architect Lisa Wannemacher and City Councilmember Jeff Danner, supporters of the Lens.

The debate has already aired on several CBS stations this weekend, including tonight at 11 p.m. on  WQYK 99.5 FM.

However, you can listen to it here as well.
