Susan Latvala and Paula Dockery endorse Rick Kriseman for mayor

Those would be Pinellas County Commissioner Susan Latvala and former Lakeland area state legislator Paula Dockery.
"Rick Kriseman and I have a long history of putting partisanship aside and working together to solve problems that affect the people we represented," said Dockery. "I'm confident that his common sense approach, his moral compass, and his work ethic have prepared Rick well to serve as a strong mayor for St. Petersburg."
"I am confident Rick Kriseman will be the bold leader St. Petersburg needs to address the many challenges facing government today," Latvala added.
Also endorsing Kriseman is former Florida CFO Alex Sink and Largo Mayor Pat Gerard, a Democrat.
"I have enjoyed getting to know and work with Rick Kriseman when he was on City Council and then as a member of the Florida House" Gerard said in the statement. "He has never been afraid to stand up for what he believes in, and there is no doubt in my mind that Rick Kriseman will continue to stand up for the people of St. Petersburg with the forward-looking leadership they deserve."
In the most recent poll posted by St.Pete Polls, the pollsters had a little fun and threw in the names of two City Council members into the mix, Jeff Danner and Leslie Curran.
The survey showed "undecided" leading at 30 percent, with Mayor Foster right behind at 29.5 percent. But Curran came in third at 18 percent, followed by Kriseman at 16 percent, and Danner at 6 percent.
Rumors floated last year that Curran might get into the race, but she has made no indications so far that she will do so.
