Inside the photo booth: Jazz bassist John Lamb

John Lamb is a renowed jazz bassist and long time St. Petersburg resident who performed with the Duke Ellington Orchestra for more than 10 years. He can be heard on most of the Duke’s major works from the mid-’60s including “The Far East Suite” which earned a Grammy.

In March, John will be presented with the prestigious "Satchmo Award" by The Jazz Club of Sarasota.

To see John play live check out his regular gig every Wednesday evening with the The Suncoast Dixielanders at the Bilmar Beach Resort on Treasure Island.

Kevin Tighe is a professional photographer residing in Dunedin. His images have appeared in numerous local and national publications including Rolling Stone, USA Today and The Tampa Bay Times. He is available for portraits and private events.
