Shula's Steak House (and burgers), Cigar City Brewing, Mise en Place's First Flight wine bar, the Green Iguana, and Ybor's quintessential Columbia Cafe can all be found throughout the airport now. Creative Loafing's Mitch Perry checked out the new tastes available at TIA in June's Food Issue (read more here ). The Columbia Cafe is located in Airside E (for airlines Delta and Air Canada). Perry reported the cafe brought in authentic Spanish chandeliers, photos of family, and of course the Spanish and Cuban cuisine they've become known for over the last century.
The menu is simplified to keep wait times short for travelers. Tampa's Cuban Sandwich, the 1905 salad, and their Spanish Bean Soup are available. Also on the menu are Miranda's Ybor City Devil Crab Croquettes and Cafe con Leche.
Florida's oldest restaurant ranked number 25 out of 31 restaurants across the globe, including major cities like Singapore, San Franscisco, London, Paris and Munich. Restaurants were judged on cuisine and style/decor/service. The Columbia Cafe at Tampa International Airport is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
