The Jannus Live courtyard is often the setting for great musical acts to rock out to, and great times to party with your closest friends. This week, the venue is proud to do both, while also raising money for a cause that reminds us of the importance of those closest to us. Supporting The Suzanne Ciani Brain Cancer Foundation, a concert event headlined by

Perpetual Groove, along with Black Taxi and McAlister Drive hits Jannus on Thursday.

In October of last year, Suzanne Ciani's sought medical assistance after a string of consistent headaches left her disoriented, and troubled her family. An MRI turned up alarming news: Suzanne had several tumors on her brain. The truth was that her constant headaches were caused by an aggressive brain cancer.

Suzanne had to undergo emergency surgery, followed by several rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, This past summer, she had to go through neurosurgery in response to the discovery of additional tumors.

From the foundation:

This concert is being put on by Suzanne's son, Johnny Ciani, and it is held to benefit her non-profit foundation: The Suzanne Ciani Brain Cancer Foundation, founded in 2012. The foundation is aiming to send her for treatment at the Gerson Center in Mexico, as well as help others who have had their lives impacted by brain cancer.

Your involvement in this event means giving Suzanne and others like her immense help in their fight against brain cancer. Thank you so much for your support!

Perpetual Groove has been jamming since the late nineties and mixes and eclectic sound, incorporating a blend of traditional Southern rock, funk, jazzy improvisation, indie rock and synth loops. Starting at 6 p.m. on Thurs., Nov. 29, you can rock out for a great cause during this holiday season, when we treasure most those that are closest to our hearts.
