
If you're still looking to make weekend plans, there's plenty of LGBT events in the Tampa Bay area to choose from.
Ladies can get a jump start on the weekend with a marathon of Showtime's popular lesbian drama "The L Word." Starting tonight, Nov.1, Queenshead will air several episodes every Thursday evening. The restaurant will also feature dishes inspired by the characters. This week, get a taste of Shane.
Team St. Pete, a cycling team riding in the 9th Annual SMART Ride from Miami to Key West this month, will host a wine tasting at Totti's Spirits & Fine Wine in St. Pete on Friday, Nov. 2. SMART Ride raises money for local AIDS/HIV service organizations. Cost is $10 at the door.
Crescendo, the Tampa Bay Women's Chorus, celebrates 20 years with a concert, "Comin' Into My Years: 20 Years Strong" Saturday, Nov. 3 at the Straz Center's Ferguson Hall. Organized by artistic director Sunny Hall, the show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets range from $18 to $35, with a $20 entry fee for the after party.

"RuPaul's Drag Race" winner Sharon Needles comes to Georgie's Alibi on Saturday at 10 p.m. The next day, Sunday, Nov. 4, Georgie's will host a car show to benefit M.C.C. Church of Tampa Bay. Cost to enter is $15 per car or $10 and two non-perishable canned goods. Car line-up starts at 10 a.m.
The Erase Hate Festival, re-scheduled from last spring, will take over Curtis Hixon Park on Sunday to raise awareness of bullying in our schools. This free family-friendly festival also features the music of local bands, such as Halcyon, Buster Blues and more, warming up the stage for headliner Brandie Carlile. That same night, Una Voce, the Florida Men's Chorale, hosts a comedy night at Jack's Joint Bar & Grill in Clearwater at 7 p.m. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door.
