Hardpressed for something to do this weekend? There's a number of fun and fabulous LGBT events going on in our area for you to choose from.
Tonight, Friday, July 27, head downtown to the Tampa Museum of Art after work for Equality Florida's Women for Equality mixer. And no need to be a member to come out and meet like-minded women and see old friends. Members pay $10 at the door, and non-members $20 (this includes a free glass of wine). The mixer runs from 6 to 8 p.m.
Also tonight, Flamingo in St. Petersburg welcomes Pandora Boxx from Season 1 of RuPaul's Drag Race. And tomorrow, in addition to its weekly Glass Saturdays events, the resort hosts its annual "Erotica" party. Not only will you get to mingle with a bevy of male porn stars, you might even be lucky enough to enjoy a bubble bath with one. The party starts at 9 p.m. For more information about any of Flamingo's events, go here.
Enjoy a sizzling burlesque performance at the L Train bar in St. Pete tomorrow night, Saturday, July 28. "A Summer Burlesque Revue" showcases six local performers — Mayven Missbehavin', June Vega, Vita DeVoid, Pepper Banx, CandyApple, and Vulva Va-Voom — doing a variety of classic and neo-style burlesque. Doors open at 8 p.m. Pre-sale tickets are $7 and $10 the night of the show.
Girls get ready to rock! Tampa's all-female band Someday Souvenir performs at Gaspars Grotto in Ybor City on Sunday, July 29. Combining elements of driving rock, power pop and raw emotion, the band always delivers a rockin' performance. Bootsie and Iris Calling open up the show, which starts at 5 p.m. $10 cover.
