Which states have the ugliest and most beautiful singles?

According to the users on beautifulpeople.com, Texas has the most attractive singles in the US, with the highest percentage of applicants to the site granted membership. Texas was followed closely by California, New York, Florida, Maine, Colorado, Georgia, Washington, Montana, and Hawaii. The ugliest state is North Dakota, followed by South Dakota, Alabama, Kansas, and Michigan.
While men consistently select female members based solely on physical beauty, female voters look for confidence, humor and a man’s ability to portray a stable and secure lifestyle—all important factors when women define “beauty.”
“It’s no surprise when looking at the different ways men and women vote,” says Greg Hodge, Managing Director of BeautifulPeople.com. “BeautifulPeople is like a microcosm of what we see in society. Men tend to be purely visual and vote solely on a woman’s appearance. Women look at the ‘bigger picture’ questions such as ‘can this man provide?’ or ‘does he have a good job?’”
