Interactively stylized: the new Michelle Hinz Gallery

- TOUCH IT: At Michelle Hinz's gallery, audio messages can be activated, with interesting explanations about each artwork.
Pulling it off: an aesthetically gifted and business-savvy Michigan native, who'll host a grand opening celebration of her new gallery, the Michelle Hinz Art Gallery, this Saturday.
The collection’s main series offers 3D acrylic texture paintings that are thick on the canvas and tell a visual story. It offers quite an array of styles, colors and sizes, from traditional to contemporary pieces. Audio messages can be activated, with interesting explanations about each artwork, enhancing the touchable experience.
Some of the pieces have been licensed to manufacturers who reproduce her work, which then is sold to large-scale retail stores such as Bed Bath and Beyond, TJ Maxx, and Home Goods. Information about art workshops and commissions will be available.
The celebration is on Sat., June 30, 6-9 p.m. at 2408 S MacDill Ave., Tampa, 813-839-8317, michellehinz.com.
