(UPDATED) Thanks to St. Petersblog's Peter Schorsch for forwarding over this information from Chris Cate, spokesman for the Florida Secretary of State's office regarding why Nina Hayden is not listed as having qualified to be on this August's ballot running for the Democratic nomination for Congress in District 13.

Ms. Hayden’s paperwork was not complete as required by s. s. 99.061(7), FS. The notary failed to sign her Candidate Oath form.

And with that, it appears that Hayden is out of the race against fellow Democrat Jessica Ehrlich for Congress, making Ehrlich the nominee right now.

As we wrote in an earlier post today, CL observed this morning that Hayden was not on the official department of Elections website listing the nominees running for office, all of whom had to qualify by last Friday at 12 noon.

Shari Hazlett, an aide to Hayden's campaign, told CL that there was a problem with the Divisions of Elections office regarding the paperwork submitted for her candidacy, and said Nina was in contact with officials there.

But for now, she is definitely not on the ballot, which has to be a huge disappointment to not only Hayden but her supporters backing her in the race against Ehrlich.

We've attempted to speak with Hayden today but have not heard back yet. We'll update this post when that happens.
