"Five Opas" for Little Greek

Posted by on Tue, Apr 24, 2012 at 8:00 AM

I'm a USF student and I love Greek food. So it only made sense for me to try out the new casual dining joint on Fowler Avenue, Little Greek. They have six (soon to be eight) locations in Tampa Bay.

All of Little Greek's food is cooked to order. It's an open kitchen, so you can watch them prepare your food. It's pretty much the same set-up as Chipotle, but with a larger, and Greek, menu.

I love gyros, so I ordered the gyro dinner platter. It wasn't even five minutes before my food was brought out. The portion size was more than generous, as you can see below. I took half of it home.

My guest ordered the chicken souvlaki, which was also delicious. This entree falls under the 'Light Meals' category.

Little Greek also has a nice variety of desserts to choose from. I couldn't say no to trying the baklava cheesecake. WHOA.

Needless to say, I will be going back. I hope you try it out.

Little Greek offers a USF discount and has a rewards card program, so make sure you ask for a rewards card. Every dollar spent is a point, and 50 points scores you $5 off.

The president of the chain is a USF graduate, so that's pretty cool, too!
