Liquid Nitrogen Mishap

Must Stand Out

On tonight's episode of Top Chef Just Desserts, it looks like it's a candy bar challenge for the Quickfire. We get to see a few of the chef'testants using liquid nitrogen to set their candy creations, but it seems at least one of them doesn't know how to properly handle the liquid nitro — literally. Rebecca drops the canister of it on her tray of candy bars that she's trying to freeze, knocking the whole thing on the ground. She still has 11 minutes left on the clock to try to start over but she just gives up. Well, we know who won't be getting immunity tonight (and who may be in the bottom of the group — foreshadowing?). Hey, what have I always said about using liquid nitro on Top Chef if you've never used it before? DON'T. Especially if you can't even lift the canister yourself.

For the Elimination Challenge, the chefs must break into (two?) teams and serve sweet treats at concession stands at a water park. It looks like one person is making sorbet, another is doing a play on a root beer float (though I'm hoping there's no liquid nitrogen involved) and yet another is doing mini funnel cakes. Let's just imagine now all of the things that can and will go wrong.
