Dining out on Easter? Stuff yourself silly with these special brunches and buffets in Tampa Bay

Instead of eating yourself sick on chocolate bunnies, marshmallow chicks and colorful hard-boiled eggs, here’s a list of places around Tampa Bay that will be offering special menus and/or all-you-can-eat brunch buffets. And let me impart some restaurant wisdom on you: make reservations ahead of time.

BELLA BRAVA 204 Beach Drive NE, St. Pete, 727-895-5515, bellabrava.com. Celebrate Easter on beautiful Beach Drive this Sunday. Bella Brava is opening early, at 11 a.m., and serving up some tasty specials on both the brunch and dinner menus. Reservations recommended.

BRIO TUSCAN GRILLE 2223 N. West Shore Blvd., Tampa, 813-877-3939; brioitalian.com. Starting at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Brio will be serving a special brunch menu with an array of frittatas to choose from, crab and shrimp crepes, raspberry cream cheese-stuffed brioche, in addition to the standard brunch menu which will be available.

BON APPETIT 150 Marina Plaza, Dunedin, 727-733-2151, bonappetitrestaurant.com. Enjoy the views of the Gulf and Bon Appetit’s Easter brunch buffet and dinner offerings this Sunday. Brunch includes an array of specialty dishes with an Italian flair, plus carving and dessert stations. For dinner there will be a rich five-course prix fixe menu with everything from lamb to sea bass to veal on it. Brunch is $39.95 for adults and $19.95 for kids; dinner is $40 per person. CHART HOUSE 7616 W. Courtney Campbell Causeway, Tampa, 813-289-7773, chart-house.com. Another spot with a stunning view, Chart House offers a daily selection of fresh fish, as well as an extensive collection of fine wines and desserts. They’ll be serving an array of fresh-caught entrees and sinful desserts on their specials list for Easter dinner. Reservations recommended.

THE COLUMBIA RESTAURANTS 2117 E. Seventh Ave., Tampa, 813-248-4961; 800 Second Ave. NE (on the fourth floor of the Pier), St. Pete, 727-822-8000; 1241 Gulf Blvd., Clearwater, 727-596-8400, columbiarestaurant.com. Have an Easter feast at one of The Columbia Restaurants; specials include marinated roast leg of lamb “Dali” (a Gonzmart family recipe), hand-carved baked Virginia ham, chocolate tres leches cake and sparkling sangria de Cava. Reservations encouraged.

FLEMING’S PRIME STEAKHOUSE 4322 W. Boy Scout Blvd., Tampa, 813-874-9463, flemingssteakhouse.com. Just for this special occasion, Fleming’s is opening early, at 11:30 a.m., and is offering a 3-course prix fixe brunch menu in addition to their regular menu, as well as a special Bellini martini. View the menu on their website. $32.95 for adults, $15.95 for kids.

INNISBROOK GOLF AND SPA RESORT 36750 U.S. 19 N, Palm Harbor, 727-942-2000, innisbrookgolfresort.com. Indulge in Innisbrook’s Easter brunch buffet and Easter entertainment. Brunch, served from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., will offer various food stations with carved meats and made-to-order crepes and omelets, as well as entrees, dessert table and a kids table. After the meal, head out to the free family carnival from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. for crafts, crab races, pool games and more. See website for menu and schedule of events. Brunch is $32.95 for adults, $16.95 for kids 4-12. Reservations are required.

MARCHAND’S BAR & GRILLE AT THE RENAISSANCE VINOY 501 Fifth Ave. NE, St Pete, 727-824-8072, marchandsbarandgrill.com. Spend Easter brunch in the elegant dining room of Marchand’s and enjoy the various interactive food stations, offering gourmet fruits and cheeses, tapas, mouthwatering carved meats, made-to-order eggs Benedict and more. An added bonus: all-you-can-drink bubbly (for the grownups). 10 a.m.-2 p.m. $52.95 for adults, $26.95 for kids 12 and under.

PELAGIA TRATTORIA 2223 N. West Shore Blvd. (lobby level of the Renaissance International Plaza Tampa Hotel), 813-313-3235, pelagiatrattoria.com. For an elegant Easter feast this Sunday, check out Pelagia’s all-you-can-eat brunch spread. Besides the omelet and smoked salmon stations, there will be offerings of waffles with cappuccino mousse and candied walnuts, roasted garlic and shrimp ravioli, Carved NY strip with Chianti demiglace and much, much more. Reservations required. 11 a.m.-4 p.m., $35 for adults and $14 for kids 12 and under

THE RUSTY PELICAN 2425 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, 813-281-1943, tampa.therustypelican.com. The place to be for a celebratory brunch on Rocky Point, Rusty Pelican will be holding a Champagne brunch this Sunday, complete with carving and omelet stations, fresh seafood, a bevy of sides and pastries by the truckload. And who could turn down free bubbly? 10:30 a.m.-2:30p.m. $39.95 for adults, $14.95 for kids.

SAVANNAH’S CAFE 1113 Central Ave., St. Pete, 727-388-4371, savannahscafe.com. Enjoy a Southern-style brunch spread full of classic comfort food and Low Country favorites, as well as two-for-one mimosas to help you wash it all down. 11 a.m.-6 p.m. $28.95 per person.

SHEPARD’S BEACH RESORT 601 S. Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater, 727-441-6875, shephards.com. Shepard’s is doing what they do best this Easter Sunday and serving quite the spread for their famous all-you-can-eat brunch buffet. A carving station, raw bar, dessert table and an plethora of dishes from both land and sea are to be found at this feast. Served from 11 a.m.-10 p.m. $28.95 for adults, $12.95 for kids 3-10. Reservations strongly recommended.

TIMPANO ITALIAN CHOPHOUSE 1610 W. Swann Ave., Tampa, 813-254-5870, timpanochophouse.net. Dine at Timpano for an à la carte brunch along with the chef’s Easter-inspired specials. Special menu served from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
