Where to dine in Tampa Bay on Thanksgiving Day

While many people will be getting up at the crack of dawn and toiling for hours in the kitchen to prepare their Thanksgiving feasts, others prefer a simpler, easier way to enjoy their holiday meal: at a restaurant where someone else does the cooking (and the dishes). Here's a list of places around Tampa Bay that are willing to do all the work for you on Turkey Day (November 25). Be sure to call ahead to make your reservations and check out the full menus on their websites.

400 BEACH SEAFOOD AND TAP HOUSE 400 Beach Dr. NE, St. Pete, 727-896-2400; 400beachseafood.com. Serving both traditional and gourmet dishes for their Thanksgiving Day buffet. The carving station will include entrees of miso-glazed Atlantic salmon, honey-cured ham and sage roasted turkey, alongside a spread of salads, sides and desserts. $24.95 adults, $12.95 children; 12-8 p.m.

BON APPETIT 150 Marina Plaza, Dunedin, 727-733-2151; bonappetitrestaurant.com. Choose from their four-course Thanksgiving menu for $39.95, or if you're really hungry, opt for the holiday buffet for $36.95. 4-9 p.m.

CASSIS AMERICAN BRASSERIE 170 Beach Drive, St. Pete, 727-827-2927; cassisab.com. Though their normal menu offerings are French inspired, this Thanksgiving they're doing it up Yankee-style. They're offering a three-course traditional Thanksgiving meal with all the fixings, with two or three items to choose from for each course. $35 adults, $20 children 12 and under; 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Bakery open: 8 a.m.- 9 p.m.

CATCH TWENTY THREE 10103 Montague St., Tampa, 813-920-0045; catchtwentythree.com. Offering a prixe fixe menu with salad, turkey, sides and pumpkin pie. $18; 12-9:30 p.m.

COLUMBIA RESTAURANT 2117 East 7th Ave., Tampa, 813-248-4961; 800 2nd Avenue N.E. (on the fourth floor of the Pier), St. Pete, 727-822-8000; 1241 Gulf Boulevard, Clearwater, 727-596-8400; columbiarestaurant.com. At the Columbia, you can choose to go the traditional route with their Thanksgiving meal of roast Vermont Turkey with Columbia stuffing, sides, soup, salad and choice or dessert, or you can be nontraditional and order from their regular menu of Spanish influenced fare that has made them so famous. 19.95 adults, $5.95 children under 10; 11 a.m.-close.

E&E STAKEOUT GRILL 100 N. Indian Rocks Road, Belleair Bluffs, 727-585-6399; 3bestchefs.com/ee. E&E's puts a Southwestern twist on their a la carte Thanksgiving dinner menu. Go for the traditional turkey and fixins or try Maine lobster with shrimp and scallop stuffing. 4-10 p.m.

GASPAR'S GROTTO 1805 E. 7th Ave., Tampa, 813-248-5900; gasparsgrotto.net. Don't have a place to go for Turkey Day? You'll be more than welcome at Gaspar's Orphans of Ybor Thanksgiving Dinner. If Chef Craig eventually catches the turkey, it will be an all-you-can-eat, pirate style feast. $10 (includes a drink); open at 3 p.m., dinner starts at 7 p.m.

THE HURRICANE 9th Ave. and Gulf Way, St. Pete Beach, 727-367-7571; thehurricane.com. If you haven't heard, The Hurricane does quite the holiday buffet. Offering Alaskan snow crab legs and other seafood delights, traditional roast turkey with stuffing, meatloaf, prime rib, fish, side dishes, desserts and a beautiful beachside view. $22.99 adults, $9.99 children 5-12; 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

KELLY'S FOR JUST ABOUT...ANYTHING! 319 Main St., Dunedin, 727-736-5284; kellyschicaboom.com. Indulge in Chef Virgel's feast at Kelly's with their own take on the infamous 'Turducken': boneless turkey, duck and chicken breasts layered with Italian sausage and cheddar corn stuffing, roasted and served with a Creole turkey gravy. Served with all the trimmings, of course! Also offering some of their ultra premium wines by the glass that are normally sold only by the bottle. The regular menu will be available as well. $22.99 adults, $7.99 children 10 and under; 3-7 p.m.

MAGGIANO'S LITTLE ITALY 203 Westshore Plaza, Tampa, 813-288-9000; maggianos.com. Order from Maggiano's Thanksgiving Day Menu which will include traditional turkey, baked ham, and some Italian twists on the standard holiday sides and desserts. 3-10 p.m.

MARCHAND'S BAR & GRILL AT THE RENAISSANCE VINOY 501 5th Ave NE, St Pete, 727-824-8072; marchandsbarandgrill.com. If you prefer a more elegant setting for your holiday dinner, then Marchand's is your place. They'll be serving a four-course dinner menu with different options for each course. $48 adults, $16 children 12 and under; 1 p.m.-8 p.m.

MARITANA GRILLE 3400 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach (inside the Don CeSar Beach Resort), 727-360-1881. Taking the traditional route this year, Maritana will be serving roast turkey with all the trimmings. Call for times and more information.

PELAGIA TRATTORIA 2223 N. West Shore Blvd (lobby level of the Renaissance International Plaza Tampa Hotel), 813-313-3235; pelagiatrattoria.com. Pelagia will be offering a gourmet take on Thanksgiving dinner with their a la carte menu. Choose citrus-marinated roast turkey or Roasted pumpkin risotto with jumbo prawns as an entree and one of their decadent Italian-inspired desserts for a sweet finish. 11:30 a.m.- last seating at 8 p.m.

RIVERSIDE GRILLEHOUSE 10 W.Dodecanse Blvd. Tarpon Springs, 727-937-2000. The Riverside Grillehouse, located in the spot formerly occupied by Pappas in historic downtown Tarpon Springs, is kicking off the opening of the restaurant with a grand Thanksgiving buffet spread. Over 25 items will be offered, from traditional turkey to sockeye salmon and prime rib (and don't forget the desserts!). $24.95 adults, children under 6 eat free. 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

THE RUSTY PELICAN 2425 North Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, 813-281-1943; therustypelican.com. If you prefer to do your holiday feasting earlier in the day, check out The Rusty Pelican's Thanksgiving Day buffet. Bonus: complimentary Champagne. $34.95 adults, $13.95 children; 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

RUTH'S CHRIS STEAK HOUSE 1700 N. Westshore Blvd., Tampa, 813-282-1118; ruthschris.com. Offering a three-course traditional turkey dinner. Not in the mood for a turkey-induced tryptophan coma? Then go for one of their famous steaks instead. $34.95 adults, $12 children 12 and under.

SAVANNAH'S CAFE 1113 Central Ave., St. Pete, 727-388-4371; savannahscafe.com. Savannah's is doing Thanksgiving Southern style, offering turkey, turducken and their famous shrimp and grits, to name just a few, with starters and dessert included in the entree prices. Also offering to-go meals. 12-7 p.m.

SHEPARD'S BEACH RESORT 601 South Gulfview Blvd., Clearwater, 727-441-6875; shephards.com. Come very hungry to Shepard's Thanksgiving buffet. With a carving station, salad and seafood bars, over eight entrees, and array of side dishes, and a multitude of desserts to choose from, you're bound to find something to please your palate (and leave stuffed). $28.95 adults, $12.95 children, 11 a.m.-9 p.m.

THE VIEW AT CK'S 4200 George J Bean Outbnd Pkwy, Tampa (at the Tampa Airport Marriott), 813-878-6500; ckstampa.com. If you'd rather have a side of eggs and a blintz with your turkey, CK's is offering a Thanksgiving Day brunch buffet. Go for the breakfast items or the traditional holiday savory dishes -- or both. $38.95 adults, $12.95 children; 11 a.m.-3 p.m. 11:30 a.m.-close.

YACHT STARSHIP 603 Channelside Dr., Tampa; 25 Causeway Blvd., Slip 55, Clearwater, 813-223-7999; yachtstarship.com. If you'd prefer to be out at sea (well, in the Bay) for your holiday dining experience, the Starship Yacht out of Channelside will be serving a Thanksgiving buffet on board their ship, complete with a cash bar, entertainment and some stunning views. $59.95 adults, $39.95 childer 4-12; 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. and 3 p.m.-5:30 p.m. (if available).
