Jim Norman's problems getting bigger; Alex Sink and the battle to focus on Tally and not D.C., and how 'bout them Rays (and Giants)? Mitch Perry Report 10.4.10

Good morning CL readers.

It's great to be back in the Tampa Bay area after an extremely eventful few days spent in Los Angeles (West Hollywood, where the snobbery factor runs high).  And it's great to be backing a baseball team in the playoffs, as Tampa Bay Rays fans are psyched for the team's 2nd post-season appearance in three years.  As a lifelong San Francisco Giants fan, I would love nothing more than to see a St. Pete - San Francisco World Series.  Probably not going to happen, but can't we dream?

We were checking out the Internet while hanging out on the west coast, and read all about the latest revelations regarding Hillsborough County Commissioner and state Senate candidate Jim Norman.  It's ain't good.

And we've got our thoughts on this morning's very interesting take on Alex Sink in the St. Pete Times. The bottom line is that if Rick Scott convinces the voters it's about Washington and not Tallahassee, he'll win.  Sink must combat those arguments.
