Eco chic: Baa Baa Zuzu's unique, recycled wool clothing and accessories

[image-1]Baa Baa Zuzu is a company in Michigan that buys wool outerwear from local thrift stores that haven't been sold and are on their way to the trash. They then take the wool pieces, cut them up and hand stitch them into brand new vests, jackets, scarves, bags, mittens and Christmas stockings -- to just name a few of the many items they produce. Each piece is a unique work of art in itself, with no two items that look alike.

Baa Baa Zuzu's clothing and accessories would make great holiday gifts for those eco-minded people on your list (because it's never too early to start your holiday shopping).

Do you ever wonder what happens to those not-so-good-looking or shrunken sweaters that are picked over at the thrift store? If people don't buy them, they're simply taken to the dump. But the company Baa Baa Zuzu has found a creative way to reuse unwanted woolen sweaters, recycling them into clothing and accessories that are even more fabulous than their original incarnations.
