Save the trees: Local recycled plastic factory offers maintenance-free plastic "lumber"

I found out about Recycled Plastic Factory while I was at the Tampa Bay Living Green Expo. They are a company located in Englewood, Florida, that manufactures 100% recycled plastic lumber and other similar products. According to their website, their products

are:

"made from post-consumer and post-industrial recycled plastics, such as milk jugs and laundry detergent bottles, plastic bags and flower pots. Our products are safe for both children and adults, as they do not splinter, absorb bacteria, or contain chemicals that may leach into the skin or soil like pressured treated wood."

They make products for the home, site furnishings and marine supplies. Because they are maintenance-free, they do not need to be painted, sealed or stained.

These products also do not rot and are also unaffected by saltwater and freshwater. Sounds like anyone living in Florida should look into using these products!
