This leaked image of the possibly new McRibbles from McDonalds has swept the blogosphere like wildfire this week, displaying what looks to be a bun-less version of the infamous and highly coveted (by people who eat this sort of thing) McRib sandwich. The McRibbles are to the McRib what chicken nuggets are to the McChicken sandwich; in short: unidentifiable, over processed mystery meat covered in a vermilion "barbecue sauce".
I'm not sure how I feel about this. If this were 5 years ago, when I still ate fast food on occasion and was a fan of the McRib, I'd be delighted. But in this current world of KFC Double Downs and Hardees' Two-Third Pound Monster Thickburgers, do we really need more novelty crap food like this?
If this vision of bite-sized faux riblets does come to be a reality, I guess it wouldn't hurt to try it -- once. Everything in moderation right? (May I request a stomach pump afterward, though?)
