No story has focused the minds of most of Florida's brightest (and not so brightest) political reporters than the now three way race between Marco Rubio, Kendrick Meek and Charlie Crist for U.S. Senate.
The fact that Rick Scott was able to garner such a substantial poll number in the past week after a blitzkrieg of ads shows you that the Florida electorate is pretty disengaged at this point, three months before the primary election.
A new Ron Sachs/Mason Dixon Poll for example, shows that in the CFO race, GOP Senate President Jeff Atwater has a 33%-26% lead over Democrat Loranne Ausley, which isn't bad for the for the former Tallahassee based legislator, who got a late start in the race. But 41% of those surveyed have no opinion in the race.
In the very competitive race for the Democratic nomination for Attorney General, one South Florida State Senator, Dan Gelber, has a slight lead over another South Florida Democratic Senator, Dave Aronberg. But nearly 3/4ths of those surveyed said that they're undecided.
