These sleek photovolataic chargers are the first Apple-certified solar iPod cases, extending audio playback by 20 hours and 3G talk time by 4 hours just by catching some rays. According to this post on Inhabitat, "Extra energy is stored in an integrated lithium ion battery, and a set of low-energy LEDs display the devices charging status."
Lucky for you iPhone owners,the Surge has just hit the market. Both cases are available now from Novothink's online retailer Solar Arcadia, Amazon, and just about every major tech retail site. They run at $79.95 for the iPhone model and $69.95 for the iPod Touch model.
