Hayley Williams of Paramore comes to Tampa (97X video added!)

Time for the serious stuff. Well, as serious as it can get on the Morning X. Williams discussed her current trip around the country to different radio stations. You think she'd get a break after that? Nope! She'll be meeting up with the boys soon and heading to California to shoot a video, maybe win a Grammy (fingers crossed), and then leave the country for another tour. Geez. Leaving America can sometimes be very hard on the Platinum band. Hayley says that England is the scariest place to go, only because the fans are SO intense. "Our debut album [All We Know Is Falling] was not very big here, but it was huge over there," Hayley explained. Sounds scary to me!

[image-1]Do you ever wonder what kinds of crazy things fans give to Hayley and her bandmates? So did Fisher and Boy. "We get a lot of demos. We would always listen to them on the roads. The bad ones, ya know, we would sign them to roadside records, throw them out the window, and the good ones we would just listen to and enjoy." Another Hayley favorite are bracelets. "At one point I had so many fan bracelets on I looked like a gypsy!"

To close the show Fisher said "What would you do if I sang out of tune?" and Hayley replied "Whoa, Wonder Years flash back. Um, I would love it. No I'd get up and walk out on you," and she laughed her cute laugh. And with that, she was out, on her way to be welcomed by some other lucky city.

Our favorite spunky and oh-so-talented Hayley Williams (lead singer of Paramore) stopped into Tampa this week. Right now she's on the road visiting radio stations across the country before she hooks back up with the rest of the band and heads to Australia and Japan for the next leg of their tour. Williams paid a visit to the hilarious Fisher and Boy of the Morning X show on 97x.

Last week the duo was giving listeners a chance to eat lunch with Hayley. To win, all you had to do was call in and play a fun game of "would you rather." Not as easy as it sounds. Nevertheless, a couple of lucky listeners spent Wednesday with the one and only Hayley Williams at Splitsville in Tampa eating and getting their bowl on.

Thursday, Williams headed into the studio for some quality time with Fisher and Boy. I am a huge fan of this particular morning show because they sometimes talk about the most ridiculous stuff. Thursday was no exception.

They asked Hayley what qualities she looked for in a guy (even though she is apparently already in a relationship with someone ... too bad she didn't give the juicy details about that!). She laughed her adorable laugh and said "They have to be hilarious. That is the most important thing. Looking like Michael Seahall (Dexter) would be nice. And I don't like silly drama." That led into a conversation about Valentine's Day that Hayley says she used to hate, but she might celebrate this year (she must be dating someone pretty special).
