Movie trailer mania: Clash of the Titans, Salt and Prince of Persia

This week has been quite exciting for movie fans, with the release of three interesting trailers, including Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, the Angelina Jolie spy flick Salt and the Clash of the Titans remake starring Sam Worthington.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, directed by Mike Newell, is based on a popular video game franchise and aims to finally break the video-game movie stereotype (i.e., they suck). The movie has a bit of a Pirates of the Caribbean feel, mixed with The Mummy. (Ya know, cause of the sand.) Jake Gyllenhaal seems to have risen to the occasion for the lead role, and Gemma Arterton looks quite hot. While this trailer is a bit cheesy, I think Prince of Persia could be a great summer popcorn flick.
Salt, a spy flick starring the incredibly hot Angelina Jolie, was originally written for Tom Cruise. This trailer is a perfect example of showing off a movie without giving away the plot. I’m not sure if Jolie's character is actually a trader, being setup, or brainwashed or something else entirely. Put me on the list to see it!
And finally, we see Sam Worthington fighting scorpions, Medusa and all kinds of weird creatures in a remake of the classic Clash if the Titans. I loved the original movie, so put me down for a ticket for this one too, but maybe turn down the guitar just a bit, too.
