Julia is a beautiful, 30-something with long black hair, large breasts, and a thin frame--a woman who should never have a problem finding a date.  She is not a woman who bounces from one man to another.  She has had few relationships, including one marriage, that haven't worked out. The dating scene hasn't been in the forefront of her mind as of late and the thought of  internet dating has never interested her, until now.

Recently Julia was let go from her job.  That night Juila turned on the television and found ABC's 20/20 doing a report on a dating website called seekingarrangement.com.  The story peaked Juila's interest as the report portrayed an 'arrangement' that might solve all her problems.  The thought of being cared for,  free from the worry of finding another well paying  job, and being provided for was quite appealing. However, the question remained whether this was totally legal or a fancy form of prostitution.

The site is free to sugar babies, like Julia, searching for a partner of sorts.  According to the website, an arrangement is essentially a "mutually beneficial relationship"  that exists between typically an older, wealthy individual and a young person.  The wealthy individual will provide expensive gifts or financial assistance in return for friendship and possibly intimacy.

Julia filled out a profile and read blogs on how others handle the arrangements.  Immediately emails and requests began to be exchanged.  Julia has had a few online chats and exchanged phone numbers but has yet to physically meet someone.

I have mixed emotions about this type of dating.  On one hand I feel she should go for it; if someone wants to set you up Pretty Woman style then you should take advantage.  On the other hand, I worry this will be another sad ending for her.  Will she find Mr. Right or will she find Mr. Right Now?

Look for Part 2 for the details of  Julia's dates.
