Why Bing trumps Google when searching for nude celebs (NSFW)

Microsoft's slick new entry into the search engine wars isn't getting a lot of traction. I don't see Bing being a commonplace verb anytime soon, and Google still serves 99% of my searching needs. But Google Image Search is a crowded, random mess, and no good at all for finding pictures of naked famous people. Bing Image Search, on the other hand, is a celeb voyeur's dream come true.

NSFW pic after the break:

Here's the Google Search result for Pauley Perrette Topless. Nothing. Not a nipple in sight on page one.

Turn off “safe search” on Bing Image and type in the same terms and presto! That cute topless photo I'd remembered? The very first result.

And on and on it goes. I've refreshed my old Alyssa Milano collection, filled out my set of Babylon 5 star Claudia Christian's tasteful nudes. That inspired me to got get those old late 80's era pics of Denise Crosby from Star Trek The Next Generation. And of course Bing gives you first page results for your contemporary Lindsey Lohan and Vanessa Hudgens needs.

The question on my mind is, will Microsoft's need for Bing users, overcome their need to protect their corporate reputation? I hope not. I wanna see those adds of Bill Gates looking for Britney Spears crotch shots. I want to see that more than anything.

I admit to anyone who asks that I have a mild obsession with celebrity nudity. I also have a major aversion to paying for it. So part of my daily Web routine involves regular visit to some free celeb nude sites like Egotastic, Nudography, and Babes of Babylon. The pics are free, at least when they first go up, and I collect them like found coins, stuffing them into a folder on my computer in hopes they'll some day pay future dividends (if you know what I mean). But what about the stuff I miss? What about the stuff I've lost? Just the other day I couldn't find my pic of NCIS supporting actress and resident goth chic, Pauley Perrette. I knew she'd posed topless and the pic was on some site somewhere, but Google totally let me down. So I did something I've never, ever done before: I searched using Bing!
