The race for the bottom: Who will win Readers' Poll for Worst Local Politician?

You can only find out by reading Best of the Bay when it's published Sept. 16 — or by attending tonight's Best of the Bay Awards Party, aka The Loafies.
It's a tough category to predict because, well, there were so many deserving candidates. Readers named a whole slew of 'em. Among those nominated: "All Democrats," "Any Republican," "anyone against gay pride," "anyone in the County Commission's office," "anyone who has focused on regulating strip clubs as their career," "crazy WANDA," "the Florida legislature," and (this may be the most cynical response of all), "The Honest One."

But among these tough competitors, three local politicians rose to the top, or sank to the bottom, depending on your perspective. They were (in alphabetical order): former Hillsborough County Commissioner Brian Blair; FL State Sen. (and former Hillsborough Commissioner) Ronda Storms (left, with the late Ralph Hughes); and Hillsborough County Commissioner Kevin White (below).
All three have clearly captured the imagination, if not the admiration, of our Readers' Poll voters. Who will win? Find out tonight, or read the Best of the Bay results starting September 16.
