Wear yellow from head to toe and cluck like a chicken for a free 1/4 chicken value meal at Pollo Tropical today, September 15. Why? Just because.

I have to give kudos to this chicken chain for their constant and unrelenting free-food promotions. Finally, they're rewarding the small percentage of people who look good in yellow and practice barnyard imitations.

Press release after the break:

CLUCK FOR FREE CHICKEN,

IN HONOR OF NATIONAL CHICKEN LOVER’S DAY

FLORIDA -- Pollo Tropical® fans in Orlando, Tampa and Southwest Florida will have something extra to cluck about on Tuesday, September 15! It’s National Chicken Lovers’ Day, and in its honor Pollo Tropical will provide a free 1/4 Chicken Value Meal to any customer wearing yellow from head to toe that "clucks" to the restaurant cashier in honor of the big holiday!

The free 1/4 Chicken Value Meal includes Pollo Tropical’s famous marinated then grilled chicken, served with savory homemade beans and rice. The National Chicken Day Lovers’ offer at Pollo Tropical is valid at only company-owned Pollo Tropical restaurants, and only on Tuesday, September 15 from 2:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. One "cluck" offer per customer for the day.

"Our customers love our chicken. What better way to celebrate National Chicken Lovers' Day than by giving it away," said Kim Miller, Pollo Tropical's Senior Marketing Director.

Chicken lovers may visit any of the Pollo Tropical locations in Orlando, Tampa, Naples and Cape Coral to "cluck" for chicken. Locations on university campuses are excluded from this offer. For a list of locations, visit www.PolloTropical.com.

National Chicken Lovers' Day is September 15 as part of festivities surrounding National Chicken Month. It was created 19 years ago by the National Chicken Council and the U.S. Poultry & Egg Association.
