Tampa Bay's Top 50 Restaurants: South Tampa's Top Ten

South Tampa is known as a big party spot, but it's also home to some interesting restaurants -- including the only two Ethiopian joints in town. And then there's Bern's, of course. I love Datz. The selection and variety of oils and vinegars is just amazing...and the spaghetti sauce they sell in the jar from "coupla guys" WOW. Datz is the place. The cakes are the best in town. The cheese selection is amazing. The wine and beer is so top notch and is a very good value. I hate having to overpay for wine just because I eat out. It is all about value. I have been 20 times since they opened maybe 5 months ago...just the best. They got my vote. Truman
I confess when it came down to just one vote. I tipped my hat to Datz. For so many reasons they are so good. But the customer service Travis Priceless provides whenever I need something is the best.
Datz is my new favorite! South Tampa is lucky to have this new arrival! I agree that Travis is always helpful and he is always friendly. We love all of it, the brunch, lunch, dinner, bar and all of the wonderful bakery items, cheese, deli and gormet foods. All of the staff are great and seem to love working there.
Pane Rustica is my favorite place to eat whenever I'm visiting South Tampa. The food is creative and well presented, and their on-site bakery makes this place hard to resist.
