Bourdain calls Alice Waters "very Khmer Rouge"

Alice Waters annoys the living shit out of me. We're all in the middle of a recession, like we're all going to start buying expensive organic food and running to the green market. There's something very Khmer Rouge about Alice Waters that has become unrealistic.


Honestly, I'm not sure the Khmer Rouge tag fits. At least they were in touch with the common folk. She ain't.

DCist interviewed Anthony Bourdain — of No Reservations, and any other outlet where he can spout off with little restraint. Mild little interview, mostly, unless you're interested in his plans to move to Vietnam with his family for a year. Until, of course, the final question.
