Five Things to Do This Weekend

1. Christie Leneé (pictured) and Funkgrass Groove play a CD Release Party at Skipper’s Smokehouse with support provided by Rebecca Zapen and Tanya Radtke. Sun., Aug. 24, 6 p.m., 910 Skipper Road, Tampa, $7, 813-971-0666.

2. The Studio at 620 opens Here to There: A Photography-Based Research Project and Exhibit this Saturday afternoon. The featured photos were taken by refugee youths representing eight different countries, and local foster care kids, who were given cameras to snap pics of their daily experiences. Opening reception 2 to 5 p.m. Sat., Aug. 23, with the works on display through Aug. 30, noon-4 p.m. Tues.-Sat., 620 First Ave. S., downtown St. Petersburg, free admission.

3. He’s Bond. James Bond. And he’s coming to a theater near you. Beach Theatre. The St. Pete Beach movie house stages a James Bond Festival this weekend. For $7 ticket, you can see all seven of the 007 films that are featured. To watch Bond clips or reserve tickets, visit the Beach Theatre website. 4. ARTpool stages a Purple Polaroid ART pARTy of photo shoots with discontinued Polaroid film, jams by the Vera Violets and a display of more than 1,000 original Polaroids. Sat., Aug. 23, 8 p.m.-midnight, 919 First Ave. N., St. Petersburg, $10.

5. Watch Grease and sing along at Tampa Theatre. Aug. 22-24, 7:30 p.m. Fri., 2 and 7:30 p.m. Sat.-Sun., 711 N. Franklin St., Tampa, $11.50 adults/$10.50 students/$9.50 seniors and military, 813-274-8981.
