From Mo'Nique to 3D printing to Coco and Homo to Saturday Night Fever, there's plenty to do indoors away from the rain and oppressive heat this weekend.

It's the last weekend of spring but the rainy, humid onslaught of summer has begun. Not to worry — there's plenty to do indoors.

It’s a sports/meteorology mixed-metaphor kind of night as The Lightning steps aside for Thunder at the Forum at 7:45 p.m. Tickets are $25, tampabaytimesforum.com/events.

Coco & Homo’s Friday the 13th Ca-BAR-et brings us Tampa Bay's delightful and sometimes deranged performance art duo, who will perform with a “spooky, sexxxy band.”  Expect sing-alongs, goofy games and craft beer to wash it all down. Tampa Bay's eminent community radio is hosting the WMNF Records, Books and CDs Sale to raise funds for programming and other station activities. Takes place at Howard Johnson Plaza Tampa Downtown 9 a.m.-4 p.m. wmnf.org.

On Sat., June 14, Marvels of Illusion opens at the Dalí Museum and runs through Oct. 12. The exhibit illuminates Salvador Dalí’s penchant for double imagery and includes a work influential to the surrealist master by 16th century illusionist and artist Giuseppe Arcimboldo, on loan from the Ringling Museum. thedali.org.

MOSI is opening Printing the Future: The Exhibition, an expansive expo that delves into the revolutionary world of 3D printing. In St. Petersburg, you can also attend Florida Craftsmen Gallery’s 3D Printing Demonstration at 10:30 a.m. on Sat., June 14. Admission is free to the event and the gallery is at 501 Central Ave. The MOSI exhibition opens on June 14th and it is free with the purchase of MOSI admission.  

The Burnt Part Boys, freeFall Theatre’s foray into West Virginia’s coal mines, opens at freeFall Theatre, 6099 Central Ave., St. Petersburg. $29-$44. Read Mark E. Leib's interview with star Patrick Ryan Sullivan.

Local fashion house Monstruosité, headed up by hatmaker extraordinaire Dolly Donshey, has been selected to showcase at Nolcha Fashion Week in New York. The award-winning showcase for emerging designer brands runs concurrent to the city’s prestigious Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. Help the design house get there by attending hosts Swing Us to New York, a party at Ybor's Social with a costume contest, specialty cocktails, professional swing dancers, “G-rated” burlesque performances by Vita DeVoid and Cherry Von Topp and a prize drawing ($1 a ticket $15 for 20 tickets). Take the time to honor thy father. There are loads of Father’s Day Free freebies today, so if you're too light in the wallet to buy a gift — no excuses — you can show dad you love him by taking him to the Tampa Bay History CenterFlorida Aquarium or Henry B. Plant Museum or other local attractions and museums offering dads free admission with paid adult.

Or take Dad to see John Travolta in his big breakout role — and platform shoes — when the gritty-glittery disco drama Saturday Night Fever plays on the big screen for Tampa Theatre's Summer Movie Classics. 3 p.m., $10. tampatheatre.org.

While downtown, head to the Tampa Museum of Art, site of the first major U.S. museum exhibition to focus on Poseidon and the Sea. It's also the first major display of classical antiquities to be held in the Tampa Museum of Art’s new building. tampamuseum.org.
