ART SMARTS: Juilanna Villamil and John Taormina are among the artists in the new Bloom show.
The Oleson Gallery will be throwing the biggest art show yet in order to welcome Bloom, a brand new 7,000 square-foot multi-purpose, multi-level gallery space.
Apart from it being an event space, Bloom will also serve as a studio heaven for local artists. The grand opening show, happening on May 24th, 2014, will feature works of all mediums, scale, and subject matter by more than 100 artists —amongst them Chad Mize, Sebastian Coolidge and James Oleson just to name a few.
The Bloom artist studios will be open for the enjoyment of the public as well. The event will also showcase a talented group of local musicians of all genres. The lineup includes Jun純, Goodnight Neverland, Archaic Interest, and RedFeather, among others.
Bloom will open its doors at 7 p.m. with DJ Earl Grae to greet you. There is plenty of parking around the space and it is all under one roof. Bloom is located in 910 5th Ave. N., St. Petersburg. $8. Click here for the Facebook event page to find out more.
