Baby Sandhill cranes follow their parents around in our neighborhoods, bees are buzzing, and the friendly creatures of Tampa's Lowry Park Zoo are in full celebration mode.
The zoo is offering a number of seasonal animal encounters this season, including an Orangutan Easter Egg Hunt, and the special, limited-time engagement: Sea Lion Splash.
On Fri., April 18, peek in on the incredible Bornean Orangutans of Lowry Park on their annual, festive hunt for Easter eggs. The jury is out on who will really have more fun during the chase, the orangutans or the zoo guests egging them on.
The following day, the museum hosts Enrichment Day & Party for the Planet. Guests are encouraged to discover new ways to connect to the environment and make a difference in conservation through a wondrous variety of enrichment activities.
Sea Lion Splash has been making waves at Lowry Park Zoo since the charismatic sea-dwellers arrived for their limited engagement in March. Now is the perfect time to laugh and learn with them if you haven't gotten the chance to. Running daily through May 31, this fascinating look into the lives of Patagonian and California Sea Lions is not to be missed. The party-like atmosphere spills over outside of the main tent with bouncy slides, food, and other sea lion revelry for the whole family.
