Curator Tracy Midulla Reller and her band of aesthetic provocateurs elicit another artgasm, this time with experimental moving images lighting up Tempus Projects’ white walls.
The Room is Empty: New Moving Images showcases art in motion through film, video and projection.
The Seminole Heights art staple Tempus Projects will host an opening reception for its second exhibition of the year on tonight, Sat., Feb. 22. The show is a group endeavor with works by Gigi Lage, Robbie Land, Justin Myers, Daniela Mora and Diran Lyons.
Also tonight: The artists in QUAID will present their first exhibition in their new space, Similar Scars: paintings, reliefs, drawings, and zines by Anthony Record. According to the gallery, Record’s new “ultra-pastel” works are paintings of browsing and interruption that exist in the liminal space between figuration and non-representation.
Both opening reception take place from 7 to 10 p.m. Light hors d’oeuvres and drinks will be served. If you miss tonight's show, gallery hours are 7-9 p.m. on Thurs. and noon-5 p.m. Fri.-Sun. Free.
