Catch an “ethnodrama” by Charles Vanover at the Studio@620, directed by venue poobah Bob Devin Jones. They’re Only Going to Steal Your Cars is a unique one-woman, verbatim play presented via brief dialogue voiced by the play’s narrator, an accomplished African-American teacher in the Chicago public schools. La’Kesha O’Neal (pictured) stars and has been inspiring students herself as a recruiter for St. Petersburg College.

As a motivational speaker for several non-profits, O'Neal has strived to improve the quality of life of the black community and engages audiences with her spirited, empathetic personality. In Sarasota, FSU/Asolo Conservatory for Actor Training presents its second late night series event for the 2013-14 season. Is It Feasible? is based on short stories by Bulgarian humorist Chudomir. and is a satirical look at family life and one man's tribulations during the 1960s communist regime in Bulgaria. Third-year Conservatory student Zlatomir Moldovanski adapted and translated the text. He'll also be performing it too. Benjamin Williamson directs. Led by an English folk rock pioneer and guitar master, Richard Thompson Electric Trio reveals a new chapter in artistic evolution at Clearwater's recently revamped Capitol Theater. Thompson (pictured, left) is touring in support of Electric, produced by Buddy Miller and touted for its new stylistic terrain.
