Each week, we balance the creative and technical, the managerial and clerical, local culture and national news and trends.

It's a lot of juggling for sure. Some plates get broken now and then, but we're always striving to be a little better at meeting your needs.

In that spirit, we're focusing more on our online reach and offering more content online.

While "Artbreaker" might sound like a bad pun on a famous Pat Benatar song (it is), we quite literally want to break down what's driving our arts community — the inspiring, enlightening, fascinating and offbeat who's who and what's what of our arts and cultural landscape — and, quite simply, the breaking news of what's happening in arts and entertainment.

What you can expect from Artbreaker: an increased and improved focus on local visual art, theater, comedy, classical/new music, history, literature, dance, opera and those indefinable performances that are so hard to categorize. (What exactly is Mummenschanz again?) We also plan to offer more TV reviews, humor, and national entertainment commentary and blurbage.

It's a lot, yes, but we always aim to offer more. This is where you, dear reader, come in. Your input is always welcome. Let us know what you'd like to read more about in arts and entertainment by commenting below or e-mailing julie.garisto@creativeloafing.com.
